You turn on the news, you'll see the same folks are still shouting about how it's going to be the end of the world because this bill passed. …. Leaders of the Republican Party, they called the passage of this bill ‘Armageddon.' Armageddon! End of freedom as we know it! So after I signed the bill I looked around to see if there were any asteroids falling. Some cracks opening up in the Earth! Turned out it was a nice day!'

The president went to Iowa City today and pointed out that—contrary to Republican hysteria—the sky hasn't fallen:

Nice slam by Obama on the dopes who think the Lord will (or should) bring doomsday if they don't get their way. It's really just that silly.
Nice time to be a lawyer, drawing up wills with the phrase, "In case of Rapture, this estate will be unmanned."
I believe we are now at a significant turning point.
There is always a segment of the population whose primary motivation is to be on the side of the winner (that OU merchandise really moves when the Sooners are on top.)
They will now be taking a fresh look at the political landsacpe. The GOP are not winners in ANY sense now.
