Speaking Republican: Mitt Romney's Honesty Takes a Hit

Speaking last night at the Republican Convention in St. Paul, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney fired up the crowd with this anti-Democratic zinger:
And I have one more recommendation for energy conservation—let's keep Al Gore's private jet on the ground.
The GOP Faithful: Yes! Go Mitt! Stick it to that hypocrite Gore.

Romney, after the speech: But wait. Did anybody on the staff check to see if Gore has a private jet? No? He doesn't? Crap!

Oh well, maybe no one will notice.

That's like Huckabee's whopper about Palin getting more votes as mayor than Biden as Presidential candidate. Common sense ought to make you question this one, and of course, it is false.

The GOP has set sail from the shores of reality. It's like The Love Boat meets the Titanic.

LOL! Nothing like a bunch of "Oh shit" moments rolled in to one. Seriously. Reality bites, so the GOP has decided to define their own reality.

Don't get me wrong, I like Huckabee, and he has by far the best sense of humor of any of the candidates of either party.

But I don't get why plainly false statements were pushed out so often.
