Bush Administration Appeases Terrorists

For those of you keeping score, the Bush Administration is doing something today that, yes, the Bush Administration once considered "appeasing the terrorists."

We're talking about Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's visit today to Libya and Moammar Gadhafi, a country and a man once demonized by none other than Ronald Reagan.

True, Gadhafi has changed his radical stripes in recent years, or least tried to. To the extent this change is real, then U.S. overtures to Libya are warranted and should be welcomed.

But didn't Bush take an absolute hard line against terrorists? And hasn't the Republican establishment and talk radio burned anyone with even a hint of appeasing with rogue states? Absolutely.

And what about St. Ronald of California? As president, he called Gadhafi a "mad dog." Which brings up this question: Is Bush appeasing the terrorists?
