Inhofe made that charge last week following the president's well-received address to the Muslim world in Cairo.
A few days later, Obama was in Normandy for the 65th anniversary of D-Day, the Allied invasion that liberated France. By all accounts, it was a dignified ceremonial occasion.
But any time now Inhofe's press secretary will be charging Obama with more "un-American" behavior. After all, Obama was in (phew!) France.
We can imagine the Inhofe press release now: "A real American—one who's not a secret socialist— would have celebrated D-Day where it happened, right here in the good ole U.S. A."

Senator Inhofe has a history of wisdom on Middle East peace.
I just finished watching Joe Scarborough promoting his new book on "Hardball."
In addition to selling a lot of books, he's trying to broker an uneasy coalition between libertarians and the GOP as their best way back to power. I didn't know the libertarians were such a coveted votership, but I think he is hopefully referring to the youth vote when he says that.
Scarborough's strategy on hot button GOP issues abortion and gay marriage is to go "states' rights" with them. Host Chris Matthews played devil's advocate and asked repeatedly what the law would be in "Scarborough Country." Joe repeatedly demurred, as his new strategy would dictate.
He is correct, I think, in seeing the direction the GOP is destined to take. Ultimately, they want to win elections, and they will do what it takes in the end.
But the GOP hasn't finished shooting off their toes, so I don't see this catching fire until another drubbing or two.
Limbaugh can ease his flock in that direction.
Before you know it, my prophesy will be fulfilled: the first openly gay Presidential candidate will come from the GOP.
And all those Southern Baptists who weren't against abortion in the late 70's won't remember they were ever agin' it.
Keeping non-gay welfare Cadillac queens from breeding used to be a super-big GOP concern, and so shall it again be in the future US of A.
