Mayor Kathy Taylor is expected to announce that she is not running for re-election at a press conference later today.
Taylor is scheduled to hold press conference at 5:30 p.m. at the Tulsa Press Club.
Rumors have swirled around City Hall that Taylor was in line for a job in Washington, D.C., but she has repeatedly denied those rumors.
Taylor had announced her intentions to run for another term this fall during a kickoff event in February at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame.
"There's a lot to be done in Tulsa, and I need your help and support to do it," Taylor told the crowd at that time. "I'm humbled to be your mayor, and I'm passionate about continuing to serve for another term."
