Say What? Ohio Boy, 4, Shoots His Babysitter

We wish we were making this up. But, sadly, it's true.

News accounts today report that a 4-year-old boy in Jackson, Ohio, shot his 18-year-old babysitter with a shotgun Sunday "because the sitter accidentally stepped on his foot."

A report we saw cited witnesses who told police that the child "retrieved the shotgun from a closet and shot [the babysitter, Nathan] Beavers."

Fortunately, Beavers was not seriously injured. But it's surely a sad day in America when a 4-year-old pulls out a shotgun and starts firing.
