Conservative Writer Zeros In on Palin: "Manifestly Unqualified" for President

Writing in the American Spectator's blog, New Orleans conservative activist Quin Hillyer finds little to like about Sarah Palin's decision to resign as Alaska governor:
Sarah Palin's resignation is an appalling dereliction of duty and a highly cynical move to set herself up for a presidential run for which she is manifestly unqualified.
Hillyer pulls no punches. Read more of his column here.

You really have to question the common sense and/or integrity of self-styled conservative "intellectuals" who took her seriously after the interviews with Katie Couric and "Char-lee" Gibson.

Guess that there book-learnin' wasn't much good to them. More likely, the fault didn't lie with the books.

Quin Hillyer said just after the election:

"Palin is a great lady with a great future, but she wasn't ready this time around, and it was unfair to thrust her into a position where she could get 'Quayled.'"

He wasn't exactly Nostradamus, or Little George just after the felling of the cherry tree, was he?

But with his audience of yahoos, that's about as strongly as he could put it and not incur death threats. Check out the comments section.

Although I certainly agree with this comment following the article:

"This is a deeply sick party. That this woman was ever, ever, considered as a candidate for vp let alone president is a travesty. This has been apparent from within a couple of weeks of her emergence on the national stage but the charade has been maintained. It's no wonder the GOP is in the trash can and quite honestly we deserve to stay there until we get beyond grotesques like Palin."
