The Tea Party folks—along with a great many conservatives—have made a fetish of ignorance. They make up facts, invent solutions and talk nonsense, all in the name of "taking back the country."
But give Meghan McCain credit for telling it like it is. McCain, daughter of 2008 GOP nominee John McCain, has no use for grandstanding and political baloney.
Unsurprisingly, McCain has identified a true GOP phony, Delaware's Christine O'Donnell, the intellectually challenged Tea Party favorite. On ABC's This Week program, McCain referred to O'Donnell as a "nutjob."
When a mainstream conservative calls a fellow conservative a nutjob, there's serious trouble on the Right. Read the entire story here.

Seriously, what kind of person can watch someone like O'Donnell
and conclude she deserves a vote? Another nutjob?
Only folks who, like you, are so eager to see division in conservative ranks that it blinds them could possibly think of Meghan McCain (or John McCain, for that matter) as a "mainstream" conservative.
Guess it's all relative. You tend to get your bearings by taking note of the obvious nutjobs like O'Donnell. Then the wing of the party that acknowledges the nuttiness, you think of as more mainstream.
But I personally think O'Donnell, Palin, Paul, Bachman, Angle, etc. ARE the mainstream of the GOP. Even Rove had to back down after he said on Fox News that O'Donnell was saying "nutty things."
Talk about devolution! Who would have thought the GOP could sink to such a bizarre low? Not even I would have guessed it 5 years ago.
Man of the West, what is the height of the King in the chess set in your picture? It looks like a nice set. Do yoy play much?
