Climate Change Denier: Fact-Checkers Find Oklahoma's Sen. Inhofe Gets It Wrong

The embarrassing Sen. Jim Inhofe just keeps digging himself in deeper.

Inhofe, whose science credentials are as weak as his oil and gas ties are strong, has shot off his mouth again, and—again—he's made a fool of himself.

Never one to think very deeply about facts, Inhofe has claimed that the infamous (and stolen) stolen "Climategate" emails reveal that climate change was (and is) all bunk. They show that the climate scientists are lying, Inhofe claims.

Except that he's wrong. PolitiFact checked it out. The verdict: Climate change scientists: 1. Inhofe: 0.

Read the fact-checking here.

This email scandal has done much harm to to "Global Warming" crowd. Oops I am supposed to say "Climate Change" because the term Global Warming will soon be on the ash heap of history. Not all the e,ails are wrong that would be a scandal but many show an effort to hide or outright delete data. You keep citing references that show change, but if they are using the same data of course it will show global warming, sorry, climate change. The very first email in this set of thousands shows attempts to hide donors monies in members personal bank accounts to hide it from the tax man, pretty gulling from those who will tax us into oblivion. Notice in my comment I didn't attack the fat bloated lifestyle of the biggest lair, Al Gore.
If the global warming debate or lack of one were to be tested in court, as it was in Great Britain and you lost, this could be settled. Let's do that you bring your evidence and we will bring your evidence and fat Al, who refuses to debate will lose and the CO2 omissions will lower, a lot.

I'm sure those all people in the Maldives will be relieved to learn that it is all a lot of hooey. Lucky for them, those giant chucks of Greenland dropping into the ocean are nullified by some ill-considered emails.

Yes, it is clear that conservative pundits are far more credible in the matter than scientists. (HT to TPM)

From today's headlines:

"New computer modeling suggests the Arctic Ocean may be nearly ice-free in the summertime as early as 2014, Al Gore said Monday at the U.N. climate conference. This new projection, following several years of dramatic retreat by polar sea ice, suggests that the ice cap may nearly vanish in the summer much sooner than the year 2030, as was forecast by a U.S. government agency eight months ago."

Gee, looks like one of us will get the supreme distinction of saying I told you so.
