Wingnut Watch: David Duke Dumps on New GOP Chairman Michael Steele

AltTulsa doesn't have much use for crazy Southern guys who see the world through the lens of racial hatred.

That's why we are not fans of former Louisiana Rep. David Duke, a white supremacist who is still spewing his bile somewhere in the Pelican State.

Duke is back in the news because of his over-the-top (not to mention racist) response to the Republican Party's election this week of former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele as its new national chairman.

Whatever Steele's merits as a Republican party boss, Duke went nuts on his website, posting a hair-on-fire screed about Steele and his (supposed) radicalism. With that caution, here are some choice (read: hate-filled) comments
by Duke, one of the last of the unreconstructed defenders of the Ole South (or something):
GOP traitors appoint [sic] Black racist as Chairman of the Republican Party

The Republican Party leadership in its latest act of self-immolation appointed, Michael Steele, a radical Black racist as the leader of the Party.

Steele is a passionate supporter of affirmative action programs that racially discriminate against tens of millions of White Americans. He also supports increased discrimination against White owned businesses in the awarding of non-merit and non-bid minority contracts. He is opposed to the death penalty and thinks that it is disproportionately applied to Blacks even though it is applied to White murderers at 500 percent higher than it is to Black murderers.

***

He is a servile dog of Israel and has condemned Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorists and yet said not a word of compassion for the 5,000 (half of them women and children) who have been maimed and murdered in Gaza by Israel’s weapons of mass destruction.
